The short version
Browsing this site is anonymous. Address lookups are answered and forgotten: not saved, not tied to you. The only time we collect personal information is when you submit a form yourself, and we tell you exactly what happens to it below.
Address lookups
When you search an address, we match it against our copy of the counties' published parcel data and return the result. We do not store your search, associate it with you, or require an account. The site's analytics count events only (a lookup happened), never what was looked up. Server logs kept by our hosting provider (Vercel) may record IP addresses for security and are retained per their standard policy.
Appeal help requests
If you submit the appeal help form, we collect the name, phone number, email, property address, and message you provide, along with the assessment figures shown for that address. We share that information with one participating property tax professional (such as a consultant or appraiser) so they can contact you about your appeal, which is the purpose of the form. We may be compensated for that referral. By checking the consent box you agree to be contacted by phone, text, or email, including by automated means; consent is not a condition of any purchase, and you can tell any caller to stop contacting you at any time.
Attorney-path inquiries are handled on a separate compliance track: they go only to a participating Minnesota attorney, and no attorney-client relationship is formed unless you and the attorney agree to one.
Valuation notice alerts
If you sign up for alerts, we keep your email and the property address you asked us to watch, and use them for exactly two things: telling you when your county's valuation notices go out, and telling you if the assessed value on record for that address jumps. We never sell your email, and every alert email includes an unsubscribe link.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers. Our own analytics store event names only (for example, "a lookup was completed"), with no addresses, inputs, or identifiers attached. Basic, aggregate traffic analytics may be collected by our hosting provider.
Data removal
To have an appeal help request or alert signup deleted, contact us and include the phone number or email you submitted so we can locate the record.
